Dr. Belinda Powell Aaron began duties as Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at UACCH-Texarkana on Jan. 6, succeeding Jerald Barber,ugg boots outlet, who retired earlier this month. Dr. Powell holds a doctorate in Human Resource Education and Workforce Development from Louisiana State University. She holds undergraduate degrees in Associate s degree from Texarkana College; a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from TAMU-Texarkana. Aaron came to UACCH from South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado, where she was vice president for finance and administration. Prior to that, she was assistant vice chancellor for finance and administrative services at Louisiana State University at Alexandria, where she served for 11 years. She has taught undergraduate courses in Business Administration since 2004. Her previous experience also includes healthcare management and marketing in Texas,and more anxious, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Joining her in Hope is her husband, Ricky Aaron, who was a special education teacher in Louisiana and is an award winning barbecue champion, and her daughter Rebecca Aaron,,competing in the boys 10-11 d, a junior in Global Studies at St. Edward s University in Austin, Texas. Both UACCH Board Chair Jerry Pruden and Chancellor Chris Thomason commented on the passing of founding UACCH board member Charles Bucky Sharpe, Jr.,ugg boots, who died at his home in Marion on Jan. 5. We have always been very, very good at student retention, Thomason said. We have had record numbers of graduates. We have heard from students, counselors, and local industry about what they would like us to work on.
